Ep. 173 Democracy Propaganda Pt. 1

This week's show begins a new series called Democracy Propaganda, and it focuses on the techniques and tactics developed from the work of Sigmund Freud, his nephew, the father of Public Relations Edward Bernays, and Walter Lippmann. It will show how the Wilson administration formed a group called The Committee On Public Information to trick the non-interventionist American public into their sacrifice in a war that had nothing to do with them. This domestic propaganda dept used every means necessary, and hired big business PR men to form various ways to essentially brain wash the minds of the public and so, the war to end all wars, became the war that began eternal war. As Lippman put it, the quest for "World Democracy" began and its all been downhill ever since. We'll also look at numerous authors along the way, and talk about the study of group behaviors, psychological warfare, and the quest to learn how to control the minds of the masses.
