Ep 19 - Jay Williams: Why not you?

This month we're kicking off a series of episodes honoring Dads! First up, ESPN Analyst and former professional basketball player Jay Williams joins Paula to talk about overcoming a devastating motorcycle accident as his career in the NBA was just getting started, and how he eventually shifted his mindset from asking "why me?" to "why not me?". Jay, drafted #2 overall in the 2002 NBA Draft, says he never thought of basketball as his calling in life but it wasn't until he was forced to give it up, that he had to face the truth and redefine himself. The now father of two, opens up about the injuries he endured that were so severe he feared he would never be able to father any children. He also shares how his wife and a very important lesson from Coach Kryzewski, helped him realize what his true purpose is. "I took the first step by quitting chasing who I was."
