The All Pro Defensive End earned a reputation of grit and physicality early in his NFL career, coming off the edge as a key member of the Giants defense defeating Tom Brady in the 2012 Super Bowl. After a July 4th fireworks accident happened where JPP lost two fingers from explosives blowing up in his hand, so much of his life came into a clearer focus as the All Pro fought to find his way back on a football field. Learning how to manage simple tasks like tying his shoes and writing, JPP developed a mentality of making the most of every situation and being grateful for life. Looking up to his father for inspiration and motivation to work through the adversity, JPP shares how his father being blind and never complaining kept him grounded during the hard times and showed him that no matter what life puts in front of you, there’s always a way forward. Earning his way back on the field, JPP worked towards another Super Bowl win, this time with Tom Brady as his quarterback and led a young defensive core to get his second ring. A few sacks shy of 100 total in his career, JPP is looking to call another NFL team home this season and sees how much the game has changed, how much tackling has changed and wants to be the veteran voice in a young organization. Going back to his younger years of college and leading a life where trouble always seemed close by, JPP opens up on how those days shaped him into the man he is today while teaching him tough lessons that only made him stronger along the way.
