HOUR 1 - Pirates swept by Guardians, Out-of-touch front office, Dan Zangrilli
The PM Team w/Poni & Mueller - A podcast by Audacy - Mondays

The Pirates were swept by the Guardians this weekend – one that drew big crowds, especially Saturday when fans were lined up for hundreds of yards before the game for the Paul Skenes bobblehead. The front office said it reminded them of a playoff game crowd. The problem is that this team is nowhere close to playoff caliber. Why does this season feel so frustrating compared to the other bad ones we have seen in the last quarter century? Some of the comments made by the Pirates front office this weekend felt very off-base. Pirates pre-post game host Dan Zangrilli joined the show. Dan is ready to hop off the 84-win prediction he set at the beginning of the season due to the 8-15 start. Dan pointed out that the Pirates have lost 11 Paul Skenes starts over the course of his short career. Poni asked Dan if the players were taking a shot at Derek Shelton with some of their comments this weekend. At what point does Bob Nutting take out his anger on the GM or manager? Dan thinks if we hit the 60-game mark and the team is still pacing at the same spot, there could be changes made. The guys talked about some of the lineup moves that are head-scratchers and why every guy seems to get to play.
