HOUR 1 - Skenes goes 1-2-3, Calls, Tyler Kennedy

The PM Team w/Poni & Mueller - A podcast by Audacy - Thursdays

Paul Skenes started his second All Star Game last night, but the guys were bothered by something. Skenes was great as he went 1-2-3 in the 1st inning. There was no shot taken at the Pirates organization for how they have handled their first full season with Skenes. Nothing from the broadcast mentioning or eluding to how great of a pitcher he is on such a bad team. Does Major League Baseball have a problem with the Pirates way of business? If they did, why did it seem like last night’s lack of criticism meant a gag order was in place? Is there even a 1% chance of Paul Skenes re-signing in Pittsburgh? Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. The NHL schedule is out and we looked at a few of the highlights on the Penguins docket, including a trip to Sweden in November. TK talked about the trip the team took there in 2009 when he began the season with 2 goals in 2 games. The guys let Tyler react to the report that surfaced earlier this week about Mario Lemieux possibly repurchasing the Penguins. Tyler said Mario rebuying the team would be huge for all parties involved. Tyler thinks Mario is too competitive to keep seeing the Penguins miss the playoffs.
