HOUR 2 - Who does Smith want?, Starkey pizza order, Dianna Russini

The PM Team w/Poni & Mueller - A podcast by Audacy - Fridays

Does Arthur Smith want to coach Aaron Rodgers? Why would anyone if Rodgers has the control? It seemed like Smith wanted the Steelers to keep Justin Fields, but that didn’t happen. We took some calls on Rodgers. We took some more calls on Aaron Rodgers. Joe also ordered a pizza today and it was an absolute disaster. NFL reporter Dianna Russini from The Athletic joined the show. Dianna talked about her difficulties not eating meat during lent. Dianna has been on top of the Aaron Rodgers saga as it goes on. She indicated that Rodgers would love playing for Kevin O’Connell and the Vikings, but it may be the team questioning that move. Dianna thinks the Vikings are leaning toward doing it, but it depends on how the power struggle breaks down. Dianna got into the factor of JJ McCarthy and how Minnesota handles that situation. She said it comes down to the Vikings rolling the dice on a young QB coming off injury or an old, future HOF QB, coming off injury. Dianna isn’t sure where the Steelers go if they do not get Rodgers. Dianna doesn’t think the Giants offer is that much higher than the Steelers for Rodgers, but they did have to put a little sugar on top. Dianna said this is similar to the 49ers having interest in Tom Brady after already knowing they may have something in Brock Purdy. She discussed the number of hoops that people need to jump through for this to happen. Dianna said someone in Pittsburgh, or wherever Rodgers goes, has to be ready to lay the hammer down to make sure the QB doesn’t run the show. We spent some time making fun of Dov Kleiman, the worst aggregator in media. Dianna’s guess is that Rodgers goes to the Vikings.
