At only 25 years of age Daniel Baekkegard has taken the long course triathlon world by storm. With a commanding win at Ironman Austria in 2019 he had marked his arrival as a contender on the world stage. "If the victory itself wasn't eye-catching enough, he then produced one of the celebrations of the season. Triathlete magazine dubbed it the 'Baekkegard Smash' and awarding it their 'Best Finish' of the year!"
