Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. It's something you'd say on the playground to get kids to leave you alone, but we all know that it's not true. Words DO hurt. A lot. You don't have control over other people's words, but you do have control over your own, and actually, the Bible says that you'll have to give an account of all the words you say.
