Paula Sutton - Influencer

Paula is an interiors obsessed mother of 3 who, having been born and brought up in London, and after many years working in the fashion industry as Head of Press for Elite Premier Model agency and producing shoots for Elle magazine, thought it would be a great idea to bring her children up in the English countryside. A lover of traditionally English interiors with a ‘shabby chic’ twist, she adores finding bargains at auctions, car-boot sales and on e-bay, she’s an avid hunter at local flea markets and antique fairs. A lifestyle blogger and the epitome of ‘cottage-core’, Paula is an Instagram ‘influencer’ (although she would never refer to herself as one), with a following of over 450,000. She started off writing about interiors and lifestyle, while painting and restoring furniture to sell at a local decorative antiques emporium in Norfolk. Since our interview, Paula has also announced the launch of her first book Hill House Living - The art of creating a joyful life - out on 14th October 2021. Paula’s episode “I’m all the ‘jazz hands’ now” Wow, what a wonderfully uplifting, happy and positive person Paula is. Her background in fashion, combined with a love of finding vintage pieces (that initially came about out of having to furnish her house having spent all their money on buying their house) and her previous life styling shoots for Elle magazine make total sense of the distinctive lifestyle images she creates now. She shares how her parents brought her up to believe that every unpleasant story came with a learning experience and, boy did she need to remember that last year, when she was unwittingly dragged into a twitter war. She encourages us all to just ‘commit to the things you love’, shares her love for old Hollywood musicals and how she just wants to have fun and make people laugh; as well as how getting an extra 100,000 followers in one afternoon, left her feeling extremely scared and exposed.
