David Welch, Detroit Bureau Chief, Bloomberg joined Grayson Brulte on The Road to Autonomy podcast to discuss UAW President Sean Fain's aggressive approach to the strikes. Why it's an attempt to build trust with his members and show union leadership. The potential outcome of the strike will lead to a price increase which will benefit Tesla. Tesla, pioneered the electric vehicle market and they are about to introduce the licensing market for autonomy. If Tesla licenses its Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology to other automakers, Waymo will follow suit, but it remains to be seen whether GM will follow. Then there is Stack AV, a new autonomous trucking company founded by the former founders of Argo AI. Could Stack AV be entering the market too late? Possibly, but there is still a large opportunity in autonomous trucking.
