E22 - Steve Bucknall OBE. From London to the NBA, round the world and back.

From humble beginnings in London, Steve Bucknall was an aspiring young basketball player who dreamed of playing at the highest levels. From his early days at Crystal Palace, Steve went on to play at North Carolina, the college of the legendary Michael Jordan, lined alongside Magic Johnson at the LA Lakers and went on to win a commonwealth medal and be recognised with an OBE.  In this discussion we unpick Steve’s journey and his lessons learned. Steve is currently the performance and technical manager for Basketball England and still is heavily involved in coaching, passing on his knowledge to the next generation.
