E24 - David Montenegro OBE. Never give up. A conversation with the Officer Commanding of the Red Arrows

Our season three finale is a truly inspiring discussion. Joining us this week is David Montenegro. He is the third pilot we have spoken two in our 24 shows so far and his journey is unique and captivating from the off. David is presently the Officer Commanding of the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows. His military career has seen a mixture of flying duties, as a front line fast-jet pilot, flying instructor and display pilot.  He's had a couple of ground-based roles, one with the US Marine Corps in Afghanistan, and has recently returned from studying Defence and Strategic Studies at the Australian War College. His journey certainly hasn’t been plain sailing and today he reflects on some key events and individuals that helped shape and guide him.
