Manny Putz Shares Insights From His Ascent In The Sport, How To Be National Class As A High Schooler, Setting A National Record at 12 Years Old + Running Foot Locker For The First Time

The Running Effect Podcast - A podcast by Dominic Schlueter

Today on the Call Room Road To Balboa, I'm joined by the one and only Manny Putz! Manny placed 5th last year at NXN as a junior and is a 3xWisconsin State Champion in XC as well as a pair of titles on the track. He was the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year in both his Sophmore and Junior years in XC.  Manny holds PRs of 2:00 (800m), 4:12 (1,600m), 8:56 (2-Mile), and 14:32 (5k XC).  But back in the day, Manny was a stud, too, setting a national record in the 1500m for 12-year-olds running 4:18.10.  Manny is committed to running for Wisconsin next year.  In today's conversation, Manny takes me through his successful high school career thus far, his upbringing in sport, his training and why low milage works for him, how he handles comparison, his recuriting process, his mindset going into Foot Locker, and much more! Manny brought the energy, and I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
