Garrett Heath hops on the Seder-Skier Podcast
The Seder-Skier Podcast - A podcast by Ryan Sederquist

From the Minnesota-special intro to the bonus material at the end of the podcast, we've got it all for you this week. Joining the show is pro track-turned-trail runner Garrett Heath. The Winona, MN product not only pulled off the DOUBLE triple crown — back-to-back 1600, 3200, and xc titles (kiddos, this was back before the MSHSL softened everything and made three classes, too) — he added two Nordic ski titles as well (which is, in case you were wondering, as many titles as Zak Ketterson won). The 9x Stanford All-American has had a legendary career, and it's still going. After competing in the 5,000-meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2021, Heath made the move to the pro trail scene. On this show, we talk about his upbringing, a little Nordic nonsense, what caused the shift to the trails, what's surprised him, and how it's changed his training. We also....and we know this is what you really care about ...discuss the epic Elliott Heath Birkie Mystery. Heath is ending his season this Saturday on the Birkie trails for the USATF Half Marathon Trail Champs. On the show, we discuss who figures to be his biggest competition, and it's probably not who you — or maybe even he — was thinking. Stick around for a BONUS 75-seconds of show that we are opening up for free to everyone, just this once. Next time, it will require a $99.99/week subscription. Plus, we threw in the 2015 hit which, to date, is only available on this show and in the CD drawer of a few random athletes on the three-peat Alamosa High School XC team.
