Are you lucky or did you just work REALLY hard?

'You're so lucky!', 'That was a stroke of luck!', 'You get all the luck!'... or even 'Yep, I was so lucky!'. Do any of these sound familiar? I've been doing a whole lot of interviewing and chatting over the past few weeks, and I've heard so many people say 'I've been really lucky' and statements of that ilk, that it got me thinking about luck, hard work, and why we seem to confuse the two. On this episode I chat about luck, being unlucky, hard work, overnight success, self talk, and acknowledging hard work in others. I'd love to hear if you've said that you're lucky when you've achieved something that took a LOT of hard work (in a self deprecating way), or if someone has ever told you're lucky when, again, you have worked your backside off to achieve it. Do you think it's time to change the narrative? Yep, I do too...
