As we've moved through this project we've spent some decent time reflecting on The Band, a mostly-Canadian Americana/Roots Rock band that moved from backing band to standing on their own as one of the most iconic groups of their era. In the process, we discovered fellow podcaster, Tyrell Lisson, and his amazing podcast The Band: A History. He was kind enough to join us for a reflection on his project, as well as sharing some thoughts about the shift for this particular album moving from #45 in previous iterations of this list down to #57 on Rolling Stone's 2020 list of the greatest albums of all time. Join us as we reflect on The Band, and dive a little deeper into how they fit into the conversation about the greatest albums of all time! Our original review was released in two parts, but we've got them both for you here in one giant episode. We hope you enjoy! As a reminder, you can find our favorite songs from the RS500 on our Spotify playlist right here - we'll be updating it as we go with our favorite songs from each album! You can check out Rolling Stone's new 2020 list right here. We'd love it if you would review us in your favorite podcast app, and while you're at it, give us a like on our Facebook Page or Instagram, follow us on Twitter, and send us a message if you have any comments or questions.
