But the four things we have total control over is how we react, how we adapt, how we breathe, and how we take action.” ~Diamond Dallas Page I was teaching a spin class the other night, and usually I’ll tell a goofy joke or be silly during class. Yes, I work to push the class participants hard, and to work on getting to know their body, I still like to be silly from time to time to lighten up the mood. In a class I challenge them to learn what their body feels like in their comfort zones, and then what it feels like to give just a little more—what it feels like to add one to ten percent more to that comfort zone. I have them close their eyes at times to feel the ride, to feel their body, to open their mind to what’s happening and not just going into autopilot.
