I got a lot of great knowledge from him in how to run group exercises classes more efficiently and how to practice and prepare yourself before you ever step foot into a group exercise environment. But the greatest thing I took away from him, was a simple idea on how to end my group classes, or in fact how to end any meeting with another individual. If you are like me, you might allow your worth to be determined by what someone else has said about you or what you’ve done in your life. And at the end of a class I used to ask people, “how was the class, was it good enough, did I play the music you liked, are you happy…blah blah blah, and all these groveling questions I would ask people.
