062 - How to deliver self directed support in supported living with Chris Watson

In this episode Chris Watson talks about using the voice of the person being supported to develop self directed support enabling support to be delivered in innovative and creative ways. He gives some great examples of how this has been implemented in practice. Chris Watson is the founder of Self Directed Futures and has over 24 years’ experience working across the public and voluntary sector in the fields of health and social care, commissioning, housing and community development. He is passionate about self-directed support and finding ways to make commissioning systems more personalised to support this. Chris has led on the implementation of Individual Service funds and, the NHS equivalent, Third Party Personal Health budgets with local authorities and clinical commissioning groups across England.
