Alex Chester is the Editor-in-Chief of Hapa Mag, an online publication written by Hapas for everyone. Alex is also a co-host on the podcast We’re Not All Ninjas and she is part of the first Asian American Sketch Comedy Troupe “Model Majority." Alex can also be seen in several National Commercials including H&M, UPS, and Popeyes.  She has been performing since she was 5 years old. Some favorite theatre credits include How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at Madison Square Garden. Little Red Riding Hood in “Into the Woods” with Prospect Theatre Co/National Asian Artist Project (NAAP), Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at Fire Island Pines Arts Project. Other favorite NYC theatre credits include Minnie Fey in “Hello Dolly” with NAAP, and “Bubble Boy” staring Alice Ripley (Stage & Original Cast Recording) 54 Below. Alex shares what she struggled with especially being a woman of mixed race.  She also shares how being herself everyday has helped her boost her confidence and be more comfortable in her own skin.
