Dave Ledoux is an independent recording artist, singer/ songwriter, lead guitar playerand studio musician. He has been writing and recording for many years andhas wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a musician since I was a kid. He started playing drums at age 14 before playing guitar. He wanted to be adrummer but needed some material to practice to, so he started learningguitar thinking I could learn a few chords, make up some songs and playdrums to that. However, when I first picked up the guitar at around age 15,it was like magic and I instantly fell in love. Then I started really listening tobands that showcased the guitar and found Van Halen. Eddie Van Halen hadthe most amazing playing style that I was drawn to and wanted to learnexactly what he was doing and how he was doing it. So I started learninganything and everything I could from anyone who would teach me. I alsobegan singing at the time and found I could at least carry a tune! Shortlyafter that, and because I was drawn to heavy metal, I got into bands like:Iron Maiden, Ozzy, AC/DC, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, RageAgainst the Machine, Sum 41, Blink 182, Sevendust and Deftones to name afew. Eventually I came up with my own style, meshed all of those influencestogether and went from there. I began writing songs at that time as well and formed a 3 man band in thelate 90’s and early 2000’s. I was the lead guitar player and lead vocalist forthe band. I wrote and arranged all of the music based on 3 differentdecades of rock music that I loved- the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s. I beganweaving the different styles together and came up with my own style andarrangements for the songs. I feel there is no better time than now to re-introduce Rock music to theworld once more. It seems like rock music has been missing from themainstream for some time and I hope to have a hand in helping changethat. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
