Ever evolving and daring, glamorous and fierce yet in touch with her emotions, London King started writing songs at the age of 11, and never quitted ever since. Born in Rome and travelled to foreign countries since childhood, she often likes to cite the thirst for knowledge and the contact with other cultures a major source of inspiration for her writings. King began acting at the age of 4, being part of a children theatre company called The Mad Hatter. During her acting days, she discovered singing and musical. A spark within ignited the never-ending passion for music, that brought her to write her first song in her pre-teen/ late childhood, and later on, form a rock band at age 14. She broke her first band in 2012. Then, shortly after graduating, she moved permanently to London. The passion for this city started when, for her fifteenth birthday she received a birthday trip from her parents in the capital. Once settled in London, she began her solo career, recording her first solo track Sinking in the Darkness with multi awarded musician James Colah, which was the re-reprised version of a demo she recorded in Los Angeles, in 2008. The track describes King’s battle with depression at the young age of 15. She started playing live in various venues across London and continued recording music until 2014, when her first EP Hysteria came out. Highly regarded musicians such as Cornell Sorian have taken part in the creation of the EP. The EP’s bluesy, dark tones explore the troubled past of King. In 2014 she took part in the London regional competition Teen Star, ending runner up. In 2017, she took a break from music, and went back in the US for some inspiration. When back to England, she began working with award winning producer Aubrey Whitfield on her second EP Antichrist Child. The EP sees the 80’s and 90’s as a main influence, musically. In terms of lyrics, its bittersweet tones are what underline a new twist in her style. Whilst continuing performing in renowned venues all across London, in 2018 King begins working on her third EP, Solaris. The EP originally was meant to be more ‘happy’, but King took a turn for something more conceptual and focused on humanity as a whole, and its struggles. Although rather serious and at times philosophic, the last track of the EP, is a lighthearted, loving take at unconditional love and pure feelings. The Ep gained great recognition, specifically the track Half The Wolf I Know, where once again, King describes her battle with PTSD and depression. In February 2019, King was invited to Sky program Chrissy B Show to raise awareness about mental illnesses, and perform her music live. In 2020, she released her brand new single Take Care, which will be part of her debut album, coming out in late 2021. The song is a strong ballad about an abusive relationship and the freeing feeling of unchaining yourself from toxic love. She is currently working on finishing off her new musical project and completing her novel.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
