Display Frequency: Episode 6

Episode Six of UKAR's iTunes smash is a fitting way to round off Display Frequency's first year. Dan O'Hagan travelled to RAF Coningsby in early December to produce a show featuring the past and present of our nation's air power. First, we meet the 2013 Typhoon display pilot, Flt Lt Jamie Norris, who reveals plenty about what's gone into the most eagerly-anticipated RAF fast jet routine in years. Though "off-limits" for our recorded chat, Display Frequency was talked through the new display, and can report that it promises to be the Typhoon display we've all waited for! Next, we move over to Coningsby's Aladdin's Cave, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight hangar, to meet new Officer Commanding BBMF Sqn Ldr Duncan Mason, as well as an in-depth look at the restoration of the Flight's newest toy - Spitfire XVI TE311. Plus, the BBMF's Public Relations Officer Yvonne Masters explains how the latest social media trends are keeping the Flight in the public eye. A full show to see out 2012!
