The Journey of the Unknown Warrior

In many of our previous episodes we've focused on the secret operation that enabled one unknown soldier to be selected as the Unknown Warrior. Historian and writer Andrew Richards explores how the Unknown Warrior made his final journey from the hut at St. Pol to Boulogne, Dover and eventually to Westminster Abbey. The journey was the very first of it's kind filled with symbolism designed to honour the body and the sacrifice of all those who fell on the Western Front. Hosted on Acast.
