On Christmas Eve 1975, Peter Gibbs set off in a Cessna-150 civilian aircraft from the Glenforsa airstrip on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. He was staying at the Glenforsa hotel with his girlfriend and as he was an experienced pilot he had decided to try a circuit of the bay in the plane before returning back to the airstrip. After half an hour of being in the air his girlfriend grew alarmed as he had not returned. She went back to the hotel and after two hours of waiting, the police were called. A hunt for both Peter and the plane ensued and this would be start of a mystery that has continued for over 40 years.Important information provided by:https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/the-riddle-of-the-lost-flight-69672.htmlPunt PI episode Series 8 Episode 3https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b066fqcrhttps://www.pressreader.com/uk/scottish-daily-mail/20161217/282102046316944https://mysteryinksite.wordpress.com/2016/03/01/the-mull-air-mystery/http://www.journal.com.ph/editorial/mysteries/the-great-mull-air-mysteryhttps://www.historicmysteries.com/peter-gibbs-great-mull-air-mystery/http://mysteriousuniverse.org/2015/10/the-great-mull-air-mystery/Find us on social media:Twitter- @theunseenpodFacebook- The Unseen PodcastInstagram - TheUnseenPodWebsite www.TheUnseenPodcast.com
