On the 16th of November 1940, 17 year old Minnie Stott went out to the cinema assuring her parents she would not be out late. That was the last time they would see their daughter. That night at around midnight her body was found under very suspicious circumstances. An investigation would unfold but her case remains a mystery to this day as it remains the oldest unsolved murder in Greater Manchester Police's history. It has baffled the police and the public and despite the time that has gone by since the event, Minnie's story deserves to be told. Important information provided by:www.manchestereveningnews.co.ukwww.theboltonnews.co.uk
