22: The Porthole Murder

On the 10th October 1947, the ship the Durban Castle was travelling from Capetown in South Africa to Southampton in the UK. 21 year old actress Eileen Gibson or Gay as was her stage name was travelling alone in first class cabin number 126\. In the early hours of the morning the lights outside her cabin were lit which alerted the nightwatchman Fred Steer.
