On the 4th October  1949, Stanley Setty disappeared from London with £1500 in his pocket and simply vanished. His car was in its usual parking space and Scotland Yard could find no indications as to where he might have gone. Stanley was a used car dealer and it was feared he may have been robbed. Just under 3 weeks later a discovery was made by a man at the local salt marshes called Dengie Flats. A parcel containing human remains. The subsequent investigation would find a horrific story and a very violent man.Important information provided by:An amazing resource for information about the time and Hume's life- http://www.nickelinthemachine.com/2013/04/warren-street-and-the-murder-of-stan-the-spiv-setty-by-brian-donald-hume-in-1949/https://www.crimeandinvestigation.co.uk/crime-files/donald-hume-the-setty-casehttps://www.findmypast.co.uk/If you want to support the show on Patreon here is the link and thank you!https://www.patreon.com/theunseenpodMusic by: www.dl-sounds.com (http://www.dl-sounds.com/)Follow us on social media:Twitter- @theunseenpodFacebook- The Unseen Podcast
