On the 13th July 1889, Edwin Rose was on holiday on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. He decided to climb the mountain of Goatfell as many other tourists were doing at the time. His trip appeared to be going as planned however when he did not return to London as scheduled on the 18th of July his brother and his friends became concerned. The police got involved in the search for the missing tourist and what initially seemed as though it was a tragic accident turned into a murder investigation and a manhunt for the man who called himself Annandale. Important information provided by: https://www.jack-the-ripper-tour.com/generalnews/the-arran-murder/ written by Richard JonesContemporary news articles found on https://www.findmypast.co.uk/https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/mar/29/century-arran-dramatic-ian-jackhttps://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle-2-15039/scottish-mysteries-murder-at-the-top-of-goatfell-1-4187602https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/11926905.grisly-tale-of-murder-and-a-pair-of-buried-boots/https://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle-2-15039/mountain-top-death-did-he-slip-or-was-he-pushed-1-465841If you want to support the show on Patreon here is the link and thank you!https://www.patreon.com/theunseenpodMusic by: www.dl-sounds.com (http://www.dl-sounds.com/)Follow us on social media:Twitter- @theunseenpodFacebook- The Unseen Podcast
