#26: Noa Khamallah - Co-founder of Charge - Succeeding Against All Odds
The Venture Brief - A podcast by Lukas Malmberg, Neal Swaelens
Noa Khamallah, also known as K-Noa, is a scaling expert in innovative industries at early and maturation stage. He grew up in Northern France in extreme poverty, dropped out of high school, made youth mistakes, and was largely raised by his grandmother. Against all odds, through perseverance, creative problem solving, and a lot of hard work, Noa is today the co-founder and SVP of Charge. Noa started his career at the French Ministry of Defense and then managed to miraculously join Nespresso in early-stage, successfully deploying the high-end retail model. Later on, he joined Ethical Coffee, a new startup valued at $150M, leading sales and competing against Nespresso in the coffee pod market. Noa was Lime's first European employee to lead the Gov. Affairs expansion on a challenging regulatory context. He pioneered the industry as a first-mover reaching Lime’s hyper-growth goals with 10 countries and 13 cities across the world, in 8 months' time. During his time at Lime the company went from a few M$ valuation to $2.1B. Shortly after, Noa joined Voi, a Swedish scooter company as a Vice President of Global Strategy. He is a travel addict and has been to 40+ countries, he is quadrilingual, and he spent time in Egypt in the midst of the civil war during the Arab spring; he has been through it all. This is a book story... in the works. Book recommendation: Sycamore RowCharge Website: https://www.charge.us/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nkmobility/
