Laura González-Estéfani is the founder and CEO of TheVentureCity, a venture and growth acceleration model that helps diverse founders achieve global impact. Before building TheVentureCity, Laura spent over 9 years at Facebook, starting out as the first employee in Spain as the Growth Country Manager of Spain and Portugal. Throughout her time at Facebook, she moved to Silicon Valley becoming the Director of International Business Development and Mobile Partnerships with a focus on Latin-America. In addition to that, she also led the internet.org and connectivity initiatives such as the strategic initiative of Facebook in Cuba, which is the least connected country in the world. Prior to Facebook, Laura co-founded Esplaya, the first international beach tourism digital platform, and held several management roles at eBay, Siemens, and Ogilvy Group. In her free time, Laura is a Board Member of CaixaBank, the European Innovation Council in addition to being a Business Mentor at Stanford University, and an Executive Coach at Babson College's Olin School of Business.
