e70. Does Pop Culture Matter?
The VoxPopcast - A podcast by Vox Populorum - Mondays
Categories:
Live from Wizard World Pittsburgh! Shows like ours and… well, a lot of the rest of the internet are hopelessly devoted to popular culture: Comic books, movies, music, video games, sports, TV. All of the stuff that sophisticated people will tell you is rotting your brain and wasting your life. We like to think we’re intelligent people… in fact, the hosts of our show (and many of our guests) literally teach college. So why do we waste our times with this nonsense? Or is it nonsense at all? Wayne and Mav went to Wizard World Pittsburgh, a pop culture convention, to record a live joint show with our good friend Danny Anderson of the Sectarian Review Podcast as well as our guests Josie Rush and Caitlyn Hunter to sit on a panel and discuss why pop culture matters in the first place. Join us and the live audience to see what people think and then let us know your thoughts in the comments.
