37. Matcha Crepe Cake Philosophy
The Way through Baguazhang - 八卦掌道 - A podcast by Peter Hainzl
☴ Recently, during a bit of Tea Time equals Me Time, I hit upon a bit of good fortune... To find it, it only took about four (4) months of toil. And then within a couple of hours, poof! It was half gone. ☲ So there I am, staring at the Matcha Mille Crepe Cake. And noticing it starting to tilt slowly over because the real cream used between the layers was starting to melt in the warm weather. Hence the fork in the picture propping it up. ☱ To most people, my lifestyle looks like this cake. Too beautiful to resist. But the truth is: It is a little weak in its fundamental structures. That gold fork was the good fortune come into my life at just the right time. And thankfully I did not fall over. ☷ So what the hell am I talking about, you ask? ☰ I am not totally sure myself, but that is a nature of the Tao 道. ☶ When you are in it: Like walking through a dense fog because there is nothing in front of you. No path. No coming before you. All the paths lie behind you. We are free to let it go and eat the cake. On the morrow we can get back to our toils. ☵ And because I was a stubborn fellow, it has taken me fourteen years to figure this out. I guess I could have gotten there sooner, but being around martial artists a lot, I tend to want to have the proof to back up my facts. But there are no tangible facts once you go past the physical plane of existence. The mental and emotional planes lie within, while the spiritual plane lies without. ☳ That cake went down well with black tea. It was a nice treat. Helped me for about 15 minutes take my mind off business and work. And when it was finished I went back to business and my baguazhang 八卦掌 culture through qigong 氣功.
