62. Drinking tea at a train station stop

☴ Mindfulness 正念(靜觀): What is that? ☳ And Tea Time equals Me Time: What is that? ☲ In the great journey that is our life, we sometimes find ourselves needing to get off one train and rest for a while at a station for the next train that will take us to where we need to go. ☶ If we are in luck, the station will have a teahouse 茶館 or somebody offering refreshments. This scene is repeated all over the world, whether we are traveling by train, plane, ship, car, coach or even by foot or horse. ☰ Mindfulness 正念(靜觀) is that rest stop. Tea Time equals Me Time is just the means by which we take that rest. It's that simple. Perhaps some people do get to have esoteric experiences while being mindful with a cup of tea 茶. ☷ For most ordinary folk, though, it just means having a break. ☱ Then again, is there a possibility where a person, having a cup of tea 茶, can just be in a state of mindfulness 正念(靜觀) without anything esoteric or mystical happening, and still have the experience of a lifetime? ☵ In the midst of stress, anxiety, worry or whatever else is giving a person pain or grief in their life, would they allow themselves to be open to such events? Perhaps. Just the thought may be enough to allow it to happen before the next train arrives. Liked what you heard & want to connect with me? Join me at… linkedin.com/in/peterhainzl/
