Author Rachael Lucas talks to Katherine May about the realisation that she was in an abusive marriage, and how getting out allowed her to finally flouishOn the outside, it looked like Rachael was living the prefect life, but the reality was very different. It slowly dawned on her that she was subject to coercive control, but that realisation was suddenly accerlated when her husband became violent. In this moving, honest interview, she talks about the hard process of getting out, and falling back on state benefits while she found her feet.
