Figures from the Department of Housing released last week, show that there were 8,374 people homeless nationally in September, 3,124 of whom were children. Women account for more than 40% of the homeless population and the vast majority of one-parent homeless families are headed by single-mothers. In this podcast Irish Times Social Affairs Correspondent Kitty Holland speaks to Barbara Corcoran from the charity Depaul Ireland & Róisín McDonald, manager of family team services at Focus Ireland, about how increasing homelessness in Ireland affects women. https://ie.depaulcharity.org/makingadonation https://www.focusireland.ie/donate/
