As RTÉ’s Washington Correspondent, Caitriona Perry has witnessed first-hand the rise of Donald Trump. She has also spoken to many Americans who voted for him and has written about those encounters in her first book, In America: Tales from Trump Country. Caitriona came into studio the day she was shortlisted for an Irish Book Award to talk to the Women’s Podcast about her time in the US which will come to an end soon, as she prepares to take up residence behind the RTÉ Six One news desk alongside Keelin Shanley.
