Ep 184 Grace Dyas on The Gate, activism & feeling the fear

The Women's Podcast - A podcast by The Irish Times - Thursdays

Categories:

Activist, theatre director, writer and producer Grace Dyas says she wakes up every morning feeling afraid, but has learned how to turn that fear into courage. Last October Ms Dyas initiated a storm in the theatre world when she accused the former director of The Gate theatre, Michael Colgan, of inappropriate behaviour in a post to her blog. She speaks to Kathy Sheridan about the experience. Also on the podcast, Dyas talks about her theatre productions, which tackle the thorniest of subjects, including Not At Home, which puts voice to the stories of women traveling for abortions.
