On today’s podcast – Our book club will be discussing the highly anticipated, Expectation, by Anna Hope. The book is Hope’s third novel and it tells the stories of Kate, Lissa and Hannah, three friends whose lives have not turned out as they had expected. Ann Ingle, Bernice Harrison and Niamh Towey have read it to find out if it lives up to the hype. Also today: RTÉ journalist and author Barry Cummins has closely followed some of the most high-profile missing cases in Ireland, writing about them in his bestselling book, Missing. The book has been updated this year with the latest leads and developments in these unsolved cases and in today's podcast Barry talks to Irish Times journalist Rachel Flaherty about the cases, his research and what it was like going back to update the stories of those missing, presumed murdered, Irish women. But before all of that: Róisín's mum Ann Ingle, who recently turned 80, chats to Róisín about that particular milestone and what she has learned in her 8 decades on this earth.
