Why is there a gender pay gap and how can we fix it? In Ireland the difference between the earnings of men and women is now 14.8% and it has widened in the past five years. Orla O'Connor of the National Women's Council and Trayc Keevans of Morgan McKinley Ireland joined Kathy Sheridan for a discussion on the issue, looking at why a gender pay gap exists and what can be done to tackle it. Also in the podcast, Jennifer Ryan went to London last week for a screening of the film Hidden Figures, hosted by IBM. She also spoke to inspiring women working in STEM careers and asked them how important role models are in inspiring other young women to shoot for the stars.
