Episode 52: Managing and overcoming trauma with Dr Rashpal K Dhensa-Kahlon

Our host William Corless is joined by Dr Rasphal K Dhensa-Kahlon, an organisational psychologist with Birkbeck, University of London. In this episode we discuss trauma of the pandemic, terrors attacks and the impact on leaders in the workplace. Of interest to people will be how compassion and self care are crucial, along with sense making as people return to the workplace. Rashpal conducts research into how individuals manage challenging issues that can have a major impact on their lives both at work, and outside it. This includes studies of individuals who have been mistreated at work, those who are faced with inequality and individuals who are witness to traumatic societal events (such as terror attacks). She has a particular interest in individual adjustment in the face of adversity, include processes around healing, care and growth.
