Today on the podcast Sarah, Ping, and Dorien will be giving you tips for creating during stressful times. This could be a generally stressful time in life which we all have or it could be when you’re facing a deadline with your work and have to be creative under that time pressure. KEY TAKEAWAYS We all end up leaving work until the last minute to do it, especially when we are students. We have so much time to be creative but end up having to cram it into a short amount of time. So the first piece of advice is to give yourself time, don’t leave it until the pressure is there to finish it.When you are feeling stressed by a large workload, break things down into smaller, more manageable tasks. This way, when you tick off one of these smaller tasks you have that good feeling of achievement to outweigh the stress.Be kind to yourself. One of the ways Ping has learned to be kind to herself is to allow herself to sleep enough. It’s okay to take a break and do something that you enjoy or relaxes you.Prioritise your to do list where the most important things get done first. This way the most stressful tasks are out of the way first.A Gantt chart is a project management tool that illustrates work completed over a period of time in relation to the time planned for the work. A Gantt chart can include the start and end dates of tasks, milestones, dependencies between tasks, assignees, and more.  BEST MOMENTS ‘I know how long it takes me to do the things I’ve done before’ ‘No multitasking, I don’t want to be distracted’‘Turn your ‘to do’ list into a ‘tadaah’ list’‘When I’m stressed I ask for collaboration’ USEFUL RESOURCES Use Gantt charts for project management ABOUT THE PODCAST  A serious and fun podcast for female creatives hosted by Ping, Dorien and Sarah, three happy artists from Amsterdam.  This podcast will inspire you to make a living out of your art.
