Episode 24: The OFFICIAL Retirement of 2x Olympian Cyrus Hostetler

Welcome to Episode 24 of the Through the Point Podcast, the world's #1 (and only) javelin specific podcast! This week I was fortunate enough to host the official retirement ceremony of two-time Olympian and Olympic trials record holder Cyrus Hostetler I am kind of joking because he hasn’t thrown since 2017 but in the middle he told me he never officially retired so he is doing it on the podcast! In the interview, we hear so much about Cyrus’ amazing journey. He battled tons of injuries, improved 20 meters in 2 years, went to 2 Olympic games, battled with USATF officials and campaigned for athlete’s rights, and talked about the (sometimes) harsh reality of being an American javelin thrower I appreciate Cyrus being so open and honest about everything he went through.
