Dr. Siouxsie Wiles

British-born microbiologist Dr. Siouxsie Wiles has just been awarded the title ‘New Zealander of The Year’; recognition of the key role she has played in tackling the Covid crisis in that country. Alongside her role as head of the Bioluminescent Superbugs Lab in Auckland - she has earned the nickname ‘The Covid Lady’ for her clear and important daily communications of how the virus should be tackled.
