However, for some, their involvement in Star Trek didn't end in front of the camera. Several Trek actors from TNG, DS9 and VOY went to "Trek Directing School," did their homework, and eventually made their directorial debut on a Star Trek TV series. For Jonathan Frakes, Robert Duncan McNeill, LeVar Burton, and Roxann Dawson, this experience paved the way for directing careers after Trek.
