Tochnyi Weekly - 30 July 2023
Tochnyi - A podcast by TochnyiPodcasts - Wednesdays

In a week which has seen more attacks on Ukraine's cultural heritage, we hear from Andrii who relates his passion for his country's history. Ukraine's long established connections to and influence on European culture - from the 'High Middle Ages' period of its foundation to being the country which inspired some of the most famous European artists, composers and writers of the 19th century, to the present day - are discussed. Our military topics this week challenge Ukraine's allies into evaluating the critique seen from some quarters of the Ukrainian military about their command. Observable combined arms tactics are also assessed, in a realistic view of the challenges facing Ukraine's soldiers, the sacrifices being made by them - and how their western allies can offer more effective support. https://twitter.com/tochnyi A weekly update. Tochnyi is a collective project which aims to accurately report, discuss and analyse news and information relating to the Russian Federation's illegal war against Ukraine. Tochnyi recognises that the voices of ordinary Ukrainians must be front and centre in any reporting. Tochnyi recognises that all dimensions of Ukrainian society are affected by the war, and so seeks to report on all aspects of its impact. Tochnyi seeks to deliver more than just the headline. Its aim is to unpack the issues behind the headlines, and engage with those stories that slip through the cracks.
