S1: EPISODE 5: Philadelphia based Singer/Songwriter & ArtistTracy Colletto. Tracy Colletto has garnered comparisons to Carole King and Joni Mitchell for her songwriting and vocal style. Her songs are “ambient, atmospheric, dream pop folk,” and they have been added to playlists for many terrestrial and online radio stations including WXPN’s Sleepy Hollow. Tracy has been nominated for “Best Alt. Country Song” at the 15th Annual Independent Music Awards, earned an Honorable Mention in the John Lennon International Songwriting Competition and was recently named “Ones to Watch” by Nashville Songwriter Association International. Her latest release is the single "Diving In", about overcoming the obstacles of fear to pursue something you love. She also has a passion for the natural world, visual arts and traveling. Tracy says “One of the most important things I have done for myself was to return to music after several years, which is what inspired "Diving In." Music and art have always been with me, but the art was way easier to share. I put away music for other interests. Although it was nice to travel the world and to have my paintings in exhibits, the songwriting kept hounding me. In the winter of 2015 I took my rough songs and recorded my demos for an EP, but by the summer I had an album's worth of music which led to "Chocolate Happy Cake." And then by spring 2016 I was performing again and won a nomination for an Independent Music Award in NYC for "The Ride." It's amazing how one little step leads to another, simply because I decided not to make excuses anymore for what I love to do. It has been a great ride: sometimes very hard and other times magical, and I am grateful for that”. www.Tracycollettomusic.com Tracy Colletto Music #togethertalkingmusic
