Interview With Celebrity Chef Parveen Ashraf - The Spice Queen

Celebrity chef, talented presenter, author, teacher, spokeswoman Parveen Ashraf, known as The Spice Queen talks of how she has seen attitudes to racism change, growing up with the idea of beauty being white and blue eyed and desperately wanting to be white and English because she didn’t know where she fitted in. Parveen is dedicated to help represent Asian women in a positive light. She is also working closely with The One Family charity where she will be travelling to Nepal to help women who have been abused and victims of human trafficking by teaching them how to cook and set up a cafe where they can become self sufficient. It’s no secret she is still part of a group that is heavily under represented but Parveen is doing her best to give people like me inspiration where we can embrace and love our culture and in turn who we are.
