The Election of 1892

Tour Guide Tell All - A podcast by DC by Foot

It's Presidential Election Season! And while 2024 promises to be one for the history books, we decided to check out some other election years that are already in there. Today, we focus on the Election of 1892, a pivotal "rematch" election between the incumbent, Benjamin Harrison, and former President Grover Cleveland, who becomes the first, and so far only, President to win re-election after losing an intervening election.    Join the Rebeccas as they dive in deep to this election so long ago that seems to echo many of the issues we still are voting on today: there's a fight over immigration, the economy and tariffs, and a strong populist candidate makes a play to break the two-party system.    Comments or Questions?
