Episode 31: Amy Miller (stand-up comic, bay area punk adjacent)

Episode 31 is a conversation with Los Angeles based stand-up comic, writer, actor and podcaster Amy Miller. The two met over a decade ago after Amy relocated from the Bay Area to Portland and the two became fast friends, sharing countless comedy stages and green rooms around the Pacific Northwest. It was only after they'd gotten to know one another that they discovered they may have also breathed the same air many years before when Jason was active in the San Francisco punk scene and Amy was a pe-teen tagging along to see her older brother Jason Beebout's bands Samiam and Isocracy in the early days of the Gilman Street Project in Berkeley. Though Amy never called herself a punk and was in fact a young born-again Christian back in the Gilman days, her story and the attitude she brings with her to the world of stand-up radiates more punk cred than a 1000 liberty spikes.  amymillercomedy.com Who's Your God Podcast w/ Steve Hernandez Amy's twitter Music:  Isocracy Live at Gilman 1987 Samiam Live Krazy Fest 2011 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jason-traeger/support
